Mr. Ronald "Ron" Einar Habelt, age 82 of Williamson, Georgia, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2024, at Eternal Hope Hospice.
Ron was born in Corning, New York on January 14, 1942. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Habelt, and Viola Hawkins Habelt. Ron served in the United States Air Force. and retired from Collins Radio after 44 years as a Field Service Engineer. He loved spending time with his family, his church families, serving at Horses and Warriors and Rushton's Hope as well as other ministries in the community.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Habelt; son and daughter in law, Eric (Mindy) Habelt; daughter and son in law, Ann (David) Lawrence; grandchildren, Jordan (Johnny) Ricks, Sam Lawrence, Abygail Habelt; great grandchild, Ellajay Ricks; brothers, William (Elaine) Habelt, Paul (Dawn) Habelt; several nieces and nephews.
A visitation was held on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home followed by a memorial service in the chapel of Conner-Westbury officiated by Reverend Dr. Justin P. Kollmeyer.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a U.S. Veterans charity of their choice to honor Ron. Conner-Westbury Funeral Home, 1891 W. McIntosh Road, Griffin, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
