A note of appreciation for Cedar Rapids citizens

On June 14 I was hit by a car in the crosswalk at the intersection of 16th Avenue and C Street SW. I am blessed, it could have been so much worse. I am writing to say thank you, to the wonderful citizens of Cedar Rapids, who stopped immediately, called first responders and stayed with me until the ambulance and police arrived. I am proud to live in a community that cares and is kind to each other, especially in a time of need. To those people, who are nameless, but were there for me, THANK YOU for your help!

I am beyond grateful to so many; family, colleagues, friends, church family, and community members who have reached out to me and supported me with your prayers and well wishes for a quick recovery, thank you!
