Funding differences between public and private go beyond per-pupil dollars

Thank you for running David Chung's article (July 7, David vs. Goliath at Garfield School, 9C.) It was spot on.
However, all the discussion was about the Education Savings Accounts and not about the other income sources exclusively for public education.
1. Public schools receive property tax money. (That would have included $220 million more from the school bond referendum that failed) Private schools receive $0.0.
2.100% of the one-cent sale tax out of the seven cents goes to public schools. Private schools receive $0.0.
3.100% of the Iowa income tax surcharge goes to public schools. Private schools receive $0.0.
