Kevin Edward Eckley 65, of Mt. Vernon, IA passed away July 10, 2024 at the University of Iowa, Supportive and Palliative care department. A celebration of life will be at a later date.
Kevin was born on June 23, 1959 in Cedar Rapids, IA. He Graduated from Kennedy High school. He was united in marriage with Marilyn Kipp. He was an avid outdoorsman. His love of nature, fishing and hunting he shared with Marilyn with lots of boating and fishing on the cedar river. After retirement, Kevin found his Happy Place at his Ivanhoe cabin on the cedar river with his beloved dog "Pete". He was a very kind, friendly man and had many friends that he considered family.
Kevin was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn "Kipp" Eckley, his parents, Virgil and Zelda Eckley, Brother, Doug Eckley and brother-in-law, Ronald Beauregard.
He is survived by his sisters: Sharyl Beauregard and Vicki Miller (Paul Johanns). Nephews: Brad Eckley (Becky), Bryan Eckley (Martha), Lance Beauregard (Hilary) and Devin Miller. And niece Keli Beauregard Schuch (Shawn).
Causes that were close to Kevin's heart were Ducks unlimited & Arbor Day Foundation.
