Kathleen “Kathy” Ann Rose, 76, of Cedar Rapids, died July 5, 2024 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics following a short illness. Services: 11 a.m., Friday, July 12, 2024 at Teahen Funeral Home by Penny Ackerman. Friends may visit with the family on Friday after 10 a.m. at Teahen Funeral Home.
Kathy is survived by her spouse, Edward Overly; daughters, Becky Recker of Eastman, WI and Kelly Baughman of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Megan (Andy) Knapp of Cascade, Michaela (Seth Weeks) Recker of Iowa City, Mitchell Recker of Ames, Breanne Baughman of Cedar Rapids, Karissa Baughman of Cedar Rapids and Kole Baughman of Cedar Rapids; great-grandchildren, Briggs, Rinley and Case Knapp, all of Cascade.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donna and Roswell “Stub” Lively.
Kathleen was born on December 8, 1947 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Roswell and Donna Besaw Lively. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1966 and worked at General Mills, Inc., from 1980 to 2008.
Kathy enjoyed casinos, gambling, traveling, and gardening. She was a very, very smart woman and her knowledge and wit amazed everyone. Above all, Kathy loved spending time with her family and will be missed.
