James “Jimmy” Edward Walker, 62, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Celebration of Life: 1- 3 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2024, Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Jimmy was born July 29, 1961, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Lee and Virginia (Coleman) Walker. He was united in marriage to Virginia Heising in 2018, in Cedar Rapids. Jimmy worked at International Paper as a machine operator from 1980 - 2021. He loved fishing, camping and classic cars. Above all, he loved his family. He will be truly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Randy Deaton.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Walker; children, Miriah Walker, Shawn (Kelly) Kinney, and Chad (Jenny) Kinney; siblings, Ginger Deaton, John (Jacque) Walker, and Floyd Walker, and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
