Gerald Anthony Klaus, 81, joined Jesus in heaven on June 20, 2024. He grew up in Marion, Iowa, graduating from Regis High School in 1960.
After honorably serving in the Air Force he married Barbara Bezdek in 1968 and moved to Phoenix, Arizona. His children include son, Jeffrey Klaus & grandchildren: Dylan & Christian and daughter Stacey (Steve) Vanderhagen, grandchildren: Shane and Claire.
Upon retirement from Allstate in 2000 he moved to Sun City, Arizona, where he served as president of the homeowners association and planned the annual boat parade on “his“ lake.
Later in life he was blessed to find love and happiness with Delores Piekarz and they married in 2020. They enjoyed traveling and spending the summer with family and friends in Wisconsin on Otter Lake. Jerry was always "Incredibly Great" and leaves behind a legacy of love & devotion.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Delores and brothers Bob, Dave and Tony. Preceding his death were his parents, Ambrose and Hilda Klaus.
The family requests that any donations be made to the American Lung Association in their battle against Pulmonary Fibrosis.
