Mary Jean McLaughlin, 90, of Cedar Rapids passed away June 26, 2024. Per Mary’s request, no services will be held. Iowa Cremation is assisting the family.
Mary was born on July 21, 1933, in Waterloo, IA, the daughter of Anthony and Mildred (Odell) Sansone. She was united in marriage to Francis “Sonny” McLaughlin. He preceded her in death in 2008. She enjoyed gambling trips to the casinos in Tama and Riverside. In her recent years, Mary also liked scratch-off lottery tickets.
Survivors include her sister-in-law Sharon Lindroth of Cedar Rapids and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, and siblings Anthony “Butch”, Bill, Bob, Joanne Parsons, Angela Klatt, Toni Munday, and Joe David in infancy.
