Donna J. Barnes, 74, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, June 24, 2024, at her home surrounded by family. Services will be held Friday, June 28, 2024, 1:30 pm, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be Thursday, June 27, 2024, 5:00-7:00 pm at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories Stateroom. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include: five daughters; Dawn Neal, Patricia (Rich) Cook, Shanon Barnes, Kimbra (Jeff) Cook and Beth Ann Snyder. Grandchildren; Travis, Seth, Caleb, McKayla, Jacob, Jenna, Blake, Britney, Brett, Breonna, Alexander, Bianca, Gabrielle, Aaron, and Myra along with several great-grandchildren. Brothers, Kenny and Eddie.
Preceded in death by, her husband, Howard, her parents, sisters Judy and Ruthie, and a brother, Richard.
Donna was born May 24, 1950, in Cedar Rapids to parents, Donald and Ruth Burnell. She retired in 2011 from Silver Pines Care Center as a kitchen manager. Donna enjoyed shopping, quilting and baking cakes, along with spending time with friends and family. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the family.
