Dori Ann Eden, age 63, of Shellsburg, IA passed away at the Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha on Friday, June 21, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Indian Creek Nature Center in Cedar Rapids on Saturday, June 29 from 3 to 530 PM. A small gravesite service will be held prior to the Celebration at Life at Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion.
Dori was born on July 12, 1960, in Charles City, IA. She was the daughter of the late Gary and Beverly (Hurst) Fisher. On September 21, 1985, Dori married the love of her life, Larry Eden in Cedar Rapids, IA. Dori loved fishing, deer hunting, gardening, canning with her husband, and her favorite thing to do was spending time with all of her grandchildren.
Those left to cherish Dori’s memory are her husband, Larry, of Shellsburg, IA, her daughters, Colette Atkins, of Iowa City, IA, and Elizabeth Rosonke, of Vinton, IA; her grandchildren, Ashley Eden, Paige Rosonke, Skyla Atkins, Rick Atkins, and Joe Rosonke; one great-grandchild, Paisley; her sisters, Deb McNeilus, of Clear Lake, IA, Dawn (Jeff) Aschoff, of Charles City, IA, and Diana (Paul) Gadeke, of Arkansas; her dogs, Millie and Buddy, and her cats, Sofie, and Shale. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Rick and Rod Fisher, her nephew Daniel and niece Ashley.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at the Oldorf Hospice House for all the love and care they showed Dori while she was in their care.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Colette Atkins at 927 Walker Circle, Iowa City, IA 52245 to help with medical expenses.
