Mary Valene Schnieders, 84, of Manchester, Iowa, went to be with her Lord surrounded by family on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018, at the Regional Medical Center in Manchester.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, LeRoy Schnieders of Manchester; eight children, Julie (Larry) Beaman of Delhi, Dan Schnieders of Manchester, Jean Smith of Dundee, Joellyn (Tony) Helmrich of Masonville, Lori (Tim Tacy) Snyder of Manchester, Connie White of Manchester, Carol (Troy) Collins of Potosi, Wis., and Michael (Sue) Schnieders of Dundee; 21 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; siblings, Donald "Bud" Lahr of Manchester, Mary Ann (Donald) Digman of Hopkinton, LaVern "Tuff" (Mary) Lahr of Cedar Rapids, Joan Heyer of Manchester and Charles (Nancy) Lahr of Manchester; sisters- and brother-in-law, Irene O'Connell of Earlville, Merrell (MaryAnn) Schnieders of Masonville, Mary Lou Parkinson of Edgewood and Shirley Hallett of Cedar Rapids; and many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Manchester, with the Rev. Gabriel Anderson officiating.
Visitation: 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home, Manchester. Scripture service at 2 p.m. followed by a Catholic Daughters' Rosary. Friends also may call one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday.
Interment: St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Manchester, Iowa.
