Hazel Cook, 92, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, surrounded by her family. Services will be held in private for the family. Online condolences may be conveyed at www.iowacremation.com.
Hazel is survived by two sons, David (Millie) Cook of Oxford, Iowa; Kenneth (Tina) Cook of Marion, Iowa; and a daughter, Julie (Kimber) Kauffman of Miramar Beach, Florida; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Hazel was born November 28, 1931, in Oxford, Iowa, the daughter of Ernie and Zella (Crow) Cotter. She was a lifelong resident of Oxford. Hazel was employed for many years as a nurse and caregiver. She loved working at her church, quilting, and reading. Hazel will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded by her parents, Ernie and Zella Cotter; husband, Robert “Bob” Cook; a son, Bruce Cook; and two sisters, Dorothy Conover and Doris Reynolds.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Hazel’s memory to the Oxford United Methodist Church.
