SANDRA WRAY
San Jose, Calif.
Sandra J. Wray, 81, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2018, in San Jose, Calif.
Visitation will be held at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Solon, located at 100 S. Cedar St., Solon, on Tuesday, Aug. 14, from noon to 2 p.m. A private family burial ceremony will be held at Oakland Cemetery.
Sandra was born on Feb. 5, 1937. She attended Solon High School and graduated with the Class of 1955. She started her career at Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids, but the Bay Area in California beckoned. Sandra spent 37 years as a logistics analyst with Lockheed Martin and loved living in the Bay Area.
Her son, Dennis, was her pride and joy. He was her rock when things needed to be done. Dennis cared for his mom and was by her side when she passed. He is ready to carry on her wishes and continue to make her proud.
Sandy loved to live life to its fullest. Her greatest enjoyment was dancing to polka and country and western music. Her adventures always included dance venues. Sandy marched to the beat of her own drum, and was fiercely independent and proud of it. She loved spending time with her friends and family and being the life of the party. Her only wish was to make people happy.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Marcella Wray; her brother, Richard Wray; brother-in-law, Howard Mottet; and nieces, Diane Broerman and Tracy Beadle.
She is survived by her son, Dennis Rossini and his wife, Cory; her grandchildren, DJ, Amber, Michaell and Aleyda; her sister, Jo Ann Mottet; her sister-in-law, Barbara Wray; and many nieces and nephews.
