Oak Hill Tavern, Glazed and Infused closed, sold to Riley’s Cafe

Jun. 19, 2024 5:30 am
CEDAR RAPIDS — A restaurant and doughnut shop duo in Oak Hill Jackson have closed and transferred to an old name resurfacing in Cedar Rapids.
Oak Hill Tavern and its next-door boozy doughnut shop, Glazed and Infused, closed earlier this month in a sale to Riley’s Cafe.
A social media page for Oak Hill Tavern, which opened at the corner of Eighth Avenue SE and Fifth Street SE in October 2023, said the cafe will remodel and reopen as Riley’s Cafe at an unspecified future date.
But the new restaurant will be in the same hands as Oak Hill Tavern and Glazed and Infused, which operated under the Epic Catering restaurant group owned by Kory Nanke.
Riley’s Cafe, the Cedar Rapids breakfast staple that had three locations in Cedar Rapids, was previously owned by the Pankey family before it closed in October 2021. Since then, Nanke’s Epic Catering purchased the rights to use the Riley’s Cafe name.
The new Riley’s Cafe will be open from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
