Ruth Ann Moore, also known as Ruthie, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Friday, May 31, 2024 at the age of 79.
She was born to Ray and Rita Holder on May 17, 1945, in Ossian, Iowa. Ruth made Cedar Rapids her home for most of her adult life, eventually retiring from Rockwell Collins. She was a dedicated member of the community, leading Parents without Partners and teaching catechism at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Her caring nature touched many.
Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her three children, Mike Flander, Michele Flander, and Tanya Marx, as well as her siblings, Jeanie Beer, Rosalin Ondrashek, Rachelle Phillipps, and Raymond Holder. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 22, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Pines Pizza and Pub, 4100 River Ridge Dr. NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402. This gathering will be a time to remember and celebrate Ruthie's life and the impact she had on those around her.
