Vote out elected officials who say Trump trial was a ‘sham’

Now we know why Republicans who continue to support Donald Trump are so adamant about delaying his legal battles until after the 2024 election. Sensible and honest people know when irrefutable evidence is presented a person must be held accountable.
Twelve brave and honest souls used the rule of law to do what the U.S. Senate, the U.S. House and the media have failed to do since 2016. They acknowledged the evidence and on May 30 convicted the most corrupt politician in American history on all 34 felony counts.
Anyone who has continued to ignore the overwhelming evidence of Trump's lies and lack of integrity should not be elected to a position of leadership in any part of the United States. But even here, in supposedly well-educated Iowa, we still have federal politicians such as Ashley Hinson, Joni Ernst, Chuck Grassley and Randy Feenstra trying to tell us the trial was a sham, an orchestrated Democratic ploy. Yeah, right. Twelve unanimous votes on 34 of 34 counts.
When truth, integrity, and the rule of law are ignored, then our democracy is threatened. We saw it on Jan. 6, 2021 and we see it now in delaying court dates for Trump. We see it in the deceit put out by Kim Reynolds and Brenna Bird. Our elected officials need to be honest with us and stop sucking up to their political party. We put them in office, in November we can put them out!
