Conrad Glen Follmer, 80, of Iowa City, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Aug. 14, 2018.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 18, at 4:30 p.m. at High Point City Church in Iowa City. Conrad's family will greet friends Friday, Aug. 17, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Lensing's Oak Hill, 210 Holiday Rd., Coralville. Burial will be Sunday, Aug. 19, at 2:30 p.m. at Fontana Cemetery in Hazleton, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Conrad Follmer Memorial Fund to benefit Tenwek Mission Hospital in Kenya.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Martha Jane (Mitchell) Follmer; children, Paul (Jacque) Follmer and his daughter, Deborah (Robert) Kacmarynski; siblings, George (Paulette) and Betty Follmer; and his grandchildren whom he adored, Kendra Blanchard, Peter and Staci Follmer, and Abigail, Micah and Kathryn Kacmarynski.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Grace; stepmother, Mary; and four brothers, William, Wesley, Kenneth and Charles.
