The visitation and services will be at Prairie View Christian Church in Norway, Iowa. Friends are welcome to visit with the family on Friday, June 7, 2024, from 4 to 7 p.m., and on Saturday after 10 a.m. at the church. Eldred (Eldie) was born July 3, 1953, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Eldred Charles and Cecelia (Stallman) Schulte. He married Jennel Miller on October 29, 1988, in Fairfax, Iowa. God blessed them with two beautiful children, Jeremy and Anna. Eldred was a retired electrician while still pursuing his passion for farming. He lived in the same house his entire life.
He enjoyed fishing, working on farm equipment, watching old Western TV shows, spending time with family and friends, and going to church. Eldred gave the best advice when it was needed the most. He was content with the little things in life. You only had to talk with Eldred for a little while to know that he had Jesus in his heart. Touching the lives of many, he will never be forgotten.
Eldred treasured his family dearly, and was a wonderful, kind and caring husband, father, brother, and uncle. Surviving him are his wife, Jennel Schulte; son, Jeremy Schulte; daughter, Anna (Matthew) Merideth; sisters, Joyce Nolte and Lana (Russ) Schmitz; brother-in-law, Alan Maier; brothers and sisters–in–law, Rod Miller, Frank and Janice Wagner, Russ and Judy Miller, Roger and Lily Miller, Richard and Joan Corum, Joyce Miller, Brian and Jean Stallman, and Roy Miller; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; father and mother-in-law, Eldon and Marjorie Miller; sister, Marilyn Maier; and brother-in-law, Lloyd Nolte.
Memorials may be directed to Prairie View Christian Church, 400 Main St. Norway, IA 52318.
