Kay Frances Thomassen passed away peacefully on Aug. 3, 2018.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Bruce; parents; and three sisters.
She is survived by her three children, Todd Thomassen, Lisa (Bill) Reynolds and Jay (Patricia) Thomassen; two grandchildren, Michael and Devin; a sister, Blanche Zakaib; and many loved nieces and nephews.
She was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, graduated from McKinley High School and was a longtime parishioner of St. George Orthodox Church in Cedar Rapids.
A private internment committal service is scheduled at the Jacksonville National Cemetery in Jacksonville, Fla. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, Jacksonville Beach, Fla. In lieu of flowers, please keep her in your thoughts and prayers and consider donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
