Marilyn “Buz” Sejkora Christenson, 85, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2024. Mom will be celebrated by family with a private graveside service at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
Mom gave us the gift of telling us how her obituary should be written. It is simply this, she led a wonderful life filled with family, friends, and pets whom she loved and was loved by. We can’t help but add that Mom led a very meaningful life, made a difference to so many, and her supportive, caring, loving and sassy demeanor was cherished by those who loved her.
Mom was preceded in death by her husband, John “Jack” Christenson, in 2011. Theirs was a love affair for the ages and we take comfort in knowing they are together again. She is survived by daughters, Becky (Eric) Anderson, Kris (Spencer) Eells, and son, Eric (Jamie) Christenson; grandchildren, A.J. (Alex) Brennecke, Jordan (Nick) Hoefler, Carson (fiancée Alicia) Eells, Jenna (Jon) Lowell, Jackson Eells, and Anna and Ava Christenson; great grandchildren, Rylan, Rivie and Ruthie Brennecke, Colton and Cayden Lowell, and Wyatt and Sophia Hoefler. She is also survived by her special companion, Gabby, who helped so much when she lost her sweetheart, Jack. “Until one has loved an animal, part of the soul remains.”
The family would like to thank Hospice of Mercy for all their loving expertise and care for both Mom and family. Memorial donations may be directed to Hospice of Mercy or Cedar Valley Humane Society. Online condolences may be directed to the family at www.cedarmemorial.com under Obituaries.
