Nicholas Lee Hilleshiem, 35, of Marion, passed away on Monday, Aug. 6, 2018, at his home.
Visitation: 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Burial will follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. In honor of Nick, the family request you wear your favorite Hawkeye apparel.
He is survived by his parents, Carolyn (Rodney) Hilleshiem of Marion, Iowa; two brothers, Tyler Hilleshiem of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Wesley (Janet) Hilleshiem of Marion, Iowa; special nieces Camlynn, Maela and DeLaney; many devoted aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; and his beloved dogs, Bentley, Aston and Lambi.
He was preceded in death by his fiancé, Angela Goyette; grandparents, Donald and Phylis Williams; a grandfather, Lester Hilleshiem; and an aunt, Donna Burns.
Nicholas was born March 23, 1983, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the beloved son of Rodney and Carolyn Hilleshiem. He graduated from the University of Iowa and Palmer College of Chiropractic. Nick achieved his Doctor of Chiropractic. Nick was a talented, smart, colorful, kind-hearted, beloved son, brother, uncle and friend to all. He loved music, art, animals, gardening and movies. Nick was a devoted Hawkeye fan!!! Nick was a gifted guitar player and an excellent artist and poet. He always was quick with a joke and had a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him!
A memorial fund has been established in Nicholas' memory.
