and Clarence (CC) Johnson
Pat was from Belle Plaine and Clarence was from Mason City. Serving together with the 814th Aviation Engineers, they were in North Africa, Sicily and Italy during WWII with their outfit responsible for building air strips for the Air Force. They became lifelong friends. Their children also became lifelong friends – Pat’s children, Nancy Davis and Greta Pennell; and Clarence’s children, Sherrie Zemrowski, Jerome Johnson and Peggy Cason.
