Larry Lee Pulvermacher, 82, of Central City, IA, passed away on May 20, 2024. He was born on December 15, 1941, in Richland Center, WI to Matthew and Irene Pulvermacher.
Larry was a hardworking man who found joy in his career. He worked in the orchards at Oakwood Fruit Farm in Richland Center and later drove a milk truck to the Richland Center Creamery, where he discovered his love for trucking. He dedicated more than 35 years driving semi for Vigortone Seed before retiring.
In his free time, Larry loved the outdoors, spending time with his family, bowling with his wife, gardening, fishing, and caring for his numerous cats. He also enjoyed driving semi trucks, which was not just a job but a passion for him.
Larry will be deeply missed by his wife of 58 years, Lucille Pulvermacher; daughter, Elizabeth Carnicle; son, Brian and (Nicole) Pulvermacher; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Matthew and Irene Pulvermacher, and son-in-law, Bill Carnicle.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, to be determined.
Thank you to the staff at Mercy, UnityPoint, and University of Iowa Hospitals, Silver Oaks Nursing Home and St. Croix Hospice for the care provided to Larry over the last several weeks of his life.
Rest in peace, Larry Lee Pulvermacher. Your memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved you.
