Barbara J. Raue, 78, of Clearwater, Fla., formerly of Marion, died Tuesday, July 31, 2018. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at Springville United Methodist Church with a luncheon to follow from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Springville American Legion.
Survivors include her children, Joyce Stricker of Yuba City, Calif., Dawn Quidort of Dexter, David (Kim) Raue of Lebanon, Mo., Becky (Tony) Chavez of Clearwater, Fla., and Penny Sindelar of Marion; brothers, Larry (Clara) Hootman, Kenneth (deceased) (Robin) Hootman, David (Marian) Hootman, Paul (deceased) (Jenny) Hootman, Mark Hootman and Glenn Hootman; sisters, Anna (Ron) Ortery, Janette (Jim) Dargavel and Alice Hootman; and grandchildren, Adam (Michelle Green) Stricker, Holly Stricker, Tiffany (Marvin Sheets) Raue, Ashlee Abernathy, Kylee (Jon) Meihost, Joseph (Elaine) Abernathy, Kaitlynn (Tim Jensen) Sindelar, Haley (Tyler) Ohl, Jordan Raue and Brian Sindelar.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Hootman and Eleanor Hootman; an infant sister, Joyce; and her longtime companion, James Daly.
Barbara was born Aug. 25, 1939. She was retired and a member of the Red Hat Society.
