CEDAR RAPIDS — A woman who police said stole the identities of two women and took $18,100 from them was arrested last week in Linn County.
Robin Alane Parker, 63, is charged with first-degree theft, second-degree theft, identity theft over $1,500 and identity theft over $10,000.
According to criminal complaints, Parker went to two Cedar Rapids banks — Cedar Rapids Bank & Trust at 2711 Bever Ave. SE and Central State Bank at 5210 Council St. NE — and withdrew money using the identities of other women. At Central State Bank, she withdrew $11,300 from a woman’s account, and at the Cedar Rapids Bank & Trust she withdrew $6,800 from a different woman’s account.
A Cedar Rapids police warrant for Parker’s arrest, which listed her address as “at large,” was issued May 14 and she was arrested Friday.
She had her first appearance in court this weekend and was being held in the Linn County Jail on bail totaling $30,000.
