On May 11, 1961, she married Richard “Dick” Angell in her mother’s home in Cedar Rapids. Roberta and Richard raised their four children in rural Solon in a home they built. A social butterfly with a spicy personality, Roberta enjoyed volunteering in the community, traveling, was a member of TOPS for many decades and was often seen wearing purple. Until the very end she maintained her affinity for chocolate milkshakes, hats and laughter.
