One killed in UTV crash in rural Tama County

One person is dead after a single-vehicle UTV crash Saturday in rural Tama County.
According to a news release from the Tama County Sheriff’s Office, sheriff’s deputies responded to the crash in the 3200 block of H Avenue around 8 p.m. The utility task vehicle had one occupant, Mark Alan Shipley, who died at the scene. Shipley’s age was not listed in the release.
The crash remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office.
