Victim of fatal Marion pedestrian crash identified
No charges were filed

MARION — Police in Marion have identified the pedestrian who died when he was struck by a semi tractor trailer last week.
Julian Gibson, 20, of Marion, died after the collision, which was reported at 2:54 a.m. on April 26. The accident happened on Iowa Highway 13, near Linn Aire Avenue, according to a news release from the Marion Police Department.
“Life saving measures” were administered to Gibson, but he did not survive, last week’s release stated.
The driver of the semi tractor trailer was not injured. No charges were filed.
