2023-2024 Cedar Rapids Follies Scholars

Please join us in congratulating the 2023 and 2024 Cedar Rapids Follies Scholarship recipients:

The Gene Whiteman Scholarship

, named for lifelong educator and cornerstone of the performing arts

in

Cedar Rapids, has been awarded to Melia Bohn and Liesl Bucknell in pursuit of their continuing

education in the arts.

The Bob and Alo Geuder Scholarship

, named for our founders, has been awarded to Dylan Asher in his

continued learning of production and technical aspects of the arts.

The Damon Cole Scholarship

, named for our beloved musical director for all 35 seasons, has been

awarded to Kyra Kanz and Eloise Prince for music performance.

In addition to these scholarships

, donations were sent to Johnson STEAM Academy in honor of Damon

Cole, Taft Middle School in honor of Gene Whiteman, Jefferson High School Theatre Department in honor

of Bob and Alo Gueder, Revival Theatre Company in honor of Cameron Sullenburger, and Rich Heritage

Cedar Rapids as they grow their multi-generational programming.

Finally, we know the future of the arts in our area is bright, but only if they are supported now and always.

As we take our final bow, we wish to thank our patrons for allowing us to entertain for 35 magical years!
