Willis Dady to host annual Hops for Housing fundraiser

CEDAR RAPIDS — Willis Dady is serving up good beer for a great cause again this month.

Tickets are on sale now for Willis Dady Homeless Services’ ninth annual Hops for Housing fundraiser, to be held from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. April 27.

The event at The Hotel at Kirkwood Center will feature live music, a silent auction, awareness-raising games and samples from more than 20 local and national breweries and cideries. The annual fundraiser benefits Willis Dady, which provides homeless prevention, housing, emergency shelter, outreach, employment and veteran services to those who are homeless or close to homelessness in Linn County.

Tickets are available online at givebutter.com/HOPS24 for $40, or at the door for $45. Tickets include a pretzel necklace, tasting glass and beer booklet.

The nonprofit’s fundraising goal is $10,000.
