Claudette A. Schaffer, age 89, longtime resident of Iowa City, died Saturday, April 13, 2024, surrounded by family under hospice care.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am Thursday, April 18, 2024, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Iowa City with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Iowa City. Visitation will be from 4:30 till 7 pm Wednesday at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service, where a parish rosary will be shared beginning at 4:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in her memory to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
