RONALD J. MICHAEL
Lakeside, Mont.
Ronald J. (Ron) Michael, 65, of Lakeside, Mont., died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018, at home. Ron was born on Oct. 4, 1952, in Benton County, Iowa, to Joe and Margaret (Schmidt) Michael. He graduated from Jesup High School in 1972. After graduation, he served in the Army in Germany. He married Kathy Earl in March 1974. He is survived by his wife, Kathy of Lakeside, Mont.; two daughters, Jennifer and Heather of Lakeside, Mont.; one son, Bryan of Las Vegas, Nev.; nine grandchildren; and two sisters, Jolene Groff of Fairfax, Iowa, and Karen Michael of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; two sisters, Mary Michael and Carol Gienapp; and brother-in-law, Butch Earl.
Ron enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed gardening and being outside. One of his favorite pastimes was playing Santa Claus at Christmastime and, of course, the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Private memorial services will be held on Sept. 22, 2018, in Lakeside, Mont.
