Linda Kay Wyatt, age 74, of Hiawatha, IA, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2024, at Country House in Cedar Rapids, IA.
Linda was born August 16, 1949, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Jerry and Anna Marie (Earsa) Hasek. She graduated from Washington High School in 1967. On August 28, 1971, Linda married Roger Wyatt in Marion, IA. She worked for Youth for Christ for 15 years and then worked at Transamerica from 2002 to 2014. Linda enjoyed gardening and sewing. She sewed blankets and dresses for an orphanage in Haiti. Linda loved spending time with her grandchildren, often spending time hiking, biking and baking with them.
Survivors include her husband, Roger of Hiawatha; two sons, Aaron (Danielle) Wyatt of Cedar Rapids and Jeffrey (Joni) Wyatt of Palo; her grandchildren, Riley, Ashanti, Terranae, Kayla, Aiden, Kyle, Cage and Dane; two sisters, Kathleen (Mike) Couser and Peggy Hartman all of Cedar Rapids; brother, Charles (Connie) Hasek of Cedar Rapids; sister-in-law, Judy Smyth of Miami, FL and brother-in-law, Dennis Wyatt of Marion, IA. Linda is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Nancy Burch.
Visitation for Linda will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories in Cedar Rapids, IA with a funeral service following at 11:00 am with Pastor Richard Marsceau officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Park Memorial Cemetery. The family will be giving any memorials given to Youth for Christ.
