Reynolds’ policies cast a cloud over Iowa

This grandma cannot hold back concerns any longer about Iowa's education system. I watch as the headlines continue to speak of school administrators struggles with loss of state funding. We see where some are destined to make cutbacks in resources to make their budgets work. Others have been forced to close.
I remember the days when graduates would leave the state of Iowa to pursue work elsewhere but would return once they had children. They spoke of coming back to Iowa because the education system was known as one of the best.
Now, things have made a complete change. Gov. Kim Reynolds has taken measures to provide families funding if they attend private schools.
I thought our governor was elected to represent education for ALL children, public and private. While making these budget cuts she boasts of her large budget surplus. What is wrong with this picture? A dark cloud covers our state, remember this in November!
