Marla Jean Meyer, age 81, of Riverside, Iowa, died Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Parkview Manor in Wellman, IA. The family will be present to receive friends and celebrate Marla’s life from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington, Iowa. A private interment will be at a later date for family.
She is survived by her son, Daniel (Audrey) Meyer of Walford, IA; daughter, Dina McFarland (Robert Pierce) of Riverside, IA; five grandchildren: Amber McFarland (Gavino Rocha), West Liberty; Samantha Meyer, Davenport; Tyler McFarland, Riverside; Stephanie Meyer (TJ Edmunds), Cedar Rapids; Breanna McFarland ( Kirby Bender), Rock Island, IL; four great grandchildren Quintyn, Addysyn, Brynlyn and Jozalyn Rocha; sister, Patricia Jirsa of Iowa City, Iowa; sister, Cheryl Strabala of Lone Tree, Iowa.
Marla was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bill Meyer in 2023; son-in-law, Kevin McFarland.
