Ronald Eugene Knight, 82, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Wednesday, March 27, 2024. A funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 1, 2024, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids, with a visitation one hour prior. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Ron was born October 14, 1941, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Carl and Rose (Johnson) Knight. He was united in marriage to Esther Klein on October 15, 1977, in Vinton, Iowa. Ron worked for Amana Refrigeration for over 30 years.
Survivors include his son, Randy Knight of Hiawatha, Iowa; daughter, Robyne (Don) Bartlett of Anamosa, Iowa; stepchildren, Ace (Jonell) Moore of Monmouth, Iowa, and Misty (Jim) Mantor of Des Moines; several grandchildren; and brother, Robert Knight of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Rose Knight; wife, Esther Knight; sister, JoAnne Hughes; and stepson, Chuck Easterday.
