Iowa City police searching for missing 12-year-old

UPDATE: Jaylin Brown was located unharmed, according to the Iowa City Police Department on March 20.

IOWA CITY — The Iowa City Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a 12-year-old who has been missing for more than two weeks.

Jaylin Brown has not returned home since getting on the school bus the morning of Friday, March 1, according to a news release from the police department.

Brown is about 5’11” and 125 pounds, and was last seen wearing a gray hoodie and black pants with white stripes, and carrying a black backpack, the release states.

Anyone with information about Brown’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Joint Emergency Communications Center at 319-356-6800.
