Excellence in the Arts 2024

The Gazette launched Excellence in the Arts in 2023 to create an experience that would celebrate students making incredible contributions in the arts. This program includes telling the stories of student artists as well as those making an impact in the Eastern Iowa community.

A night of celebration is planned for 3 p.m. Sunday, March 24, 2024 at Theater Cedar Rapids. Join The Gazette, Hills Bank and Wired Productions for a day recognizing eight talented student artists and two youth advocates doing incredible things in the arts community.

Doors will open at 2 p.m. for patrons to enjoy live artist Garrett Turner; live pianist Elisabeth Kissling; visual art student exhibits; and concessions. The program will follow with area performances from Tone Da Boss, Rene'e Bryant and Alisabeth Von Presley.
