Crash near Anamosa claims one, injures four

One person is dead and four others injured after a two-vehicle crash Thursday south of Anamosa, according to the Iowa State Patrol.

The crash happened just before 1 p.m. when a 1989 Oldsmobile Delta driving east on Shaw Road failed to yield to a 2015 Nissan Juke driving south on Highway 151, a crash report said. The cars collided, killing one and injuring four, two of whom were juveniles.

The two juveniles and one of of the injured adults were taken to the UnityPoint Finley Hospital in Dubuque. The other injured person was taken to Jones Regional Medical Center in Anamosa.

The name of the deceased and the names of the injured have not yet been released by the State Patrol.
