Beverly Demory, 85, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Private family services will be held with entombment at the Linwood Cemetery mausoleum in Cedar Rapids. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, assisted the family.
Beverly was born April 6, 1938, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of John and Lucille “Susie” (Gregory) Bezdek. She graduated from Wilson High School in 1956. Beverly was united in marriage to William L. Demory on July 27, 1957, at Salem United Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids. She loved playing bingo, going to casinos, and playing cards, especially pinochle. Beverly will be dearly missed by her family and her friends.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Demory of Cedar Rapids; children, Denise (Bill) Kress of Cedar Rapids, John (Alison) Demory of North Liberty, Iowa, and Debbie (Rodney) Ohrt of Tipton, Iowa; eleven grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Brenda Fisher, Barbara Harding, and Bonnie Bezdek.
