Ted J. Tannehill, 59, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018, at Mercy Medical Center. Per Ted's request, there will be no public service. There will be
a visitation at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday. Inurnment is in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include his son, Ryan (Alyssa) of Kalamazoo, Mich.; a brother, Jeff of Gladstone, Ore.; two grandchildren, Aiden and Landen; a brother-in-law, Doug (Lori) Burkhart of Cedar Rapids; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a brother.
Ted was born on April 17, 1959, in Colorado, the son of Marvin and Millie Tannehill. He married Kimberly A. Burkhart on June 26, 1999, in Solon. Kimberly passed away in 2017.
Ted enjoyed old cars, classic rock music and putting intricate models together. He greatest passion, however, was his family. He will forever be remembered as a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
