Lester E. "Jebby"
Chapman, 67, of Manchester, died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018. Visitation: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester. Funeral services: 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial: Fairview Cemetery, Earlville.
Lester was born Aug. 7, 1951, the son of Clarence and Myrtle (Parsons) Chapman. He was employed with Hawkeye Casting, roofing construction, and most recently with Houlihan Sanitation. Lester enjoyed collecting antique cars, watching wrestling, "Dukes of Hazzard," the Three Stooges and CMT music videos. He liked spending time outdoors and with his dog, Dolly.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Neuhaus; children, Lester (Moe) Chapman Jr. and Timmy Chapman; grandchildren, Austin Coleman and Blake Burger; siblings, Lyle (Sandy) Chapman, LeVerne (Delores) Chapman, Harold (Joanie) Chapman and Leonard (Karen) Chapman; sisters-in-law, Monica Chapman, Joyvonne Chapman and Shelly Chapman; and many nieces and nephews.
Lester was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Allen Chapman; three brothers, LaVerl, Glenn and Dennis Chapman; sister, Alberta Hopkins; and an infant sister.
