Phyllis Jean Hoge, 80, of Springville, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Terrace Glen Village in Marion. A Memorial Service will be held from 2 - 3 p.m. on Monday, March 11, at Springville Presbyterian Church in Springville, Iowa, with a visitation following from 3 - 7 p.m. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.
Phyllis was born on February 8, 1944, in Medford, Oregon, the daughter of Stanley “Bud” and Imogene (Christian) Smith. She was a graduate of Springville High School and went on to attend nursing school, earning her nursing degree. On June 6, 1964, Phyllis was united in marriage to Kenneth Lee Hoge in Springville, Iowa. She enjoyed gardening, decorating, antiques, and shopping. Phyllis will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Phyllis is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband, Kenneth Hoge; three children, Nicole (Tym) Healey, Molly Anderson, and Andrew (Christina) Hoge; eight grandchildren; and one sister, Linda Kaas. She was preceded in death by her parents.
