Pat was a World War II cadet nurse and
a graduate of Mercy Hospital School for Nurses. She nursed at Mercy Hospital, Dr. Eicher's office and at the VA for over 23 years.
Pat stands out in her children's minds as an example of honoring "for better or worse." She cared for her disabled husband for 44 years and financially and emotionally supported her family.
Card games were her passion and they kept her mind sharp. Just six weeks ago she made a Grand Slam in bridge against top notch players.
Pat was known for voicing her strong opinions, she left no doubt about her expectations of all who crossed her path, most recently the wonderful staff at Crestview Specialty Care.
Pat will be deeply missed by her children, Cindy Yoder Myers (John) of Carlsbad, Calif., and Tom Yoder (Leslie Henry Yoder) of Colorado Springs, Colo.; her grandchildren, Sara Myers and Lauren Yoder; her siblings, Jim (Carralee) Sueppel of Iowa City and John (Valetta) Sueppel of Cardiff, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Carrol E. Yoder; her sister, Margaret Sueppel Wierman; her parents, John and Margaret Teefy Sueppel and her aunt, Gretchen Sueppel.
Pat was grateful for the support of her friends, Tim Kramer, Jane Brown and Don and Jane Frantz.
