Wendy Mae Sundberg, 67, of Vinton, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at her home. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Marion is assisting the family.
Wendy was born on November 8, 1956, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Floyd and Edith (Blackburn) Wilson. She attended Jefferson High School in Cedar Rapids. On August 5, 1978, Wendy was united in marriage to Robert Alfred Sundberg Jr. in Bertram, Iowa. For 42 years, she worked for Quaker Oats, until her retirement in 2017. She enjoyed candle making and crocheting. Wendy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Wendy is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband of 45 years, Robert; three children, Melissa Sundberg of Castle Rock, Colorado, Rachel (Larry) Sundberg of Marion, and Katy Sundberg of Davenport, Iowa; and two sisters, Kathy (Jerry) Rappel of Davenport, and Sandy Jensen of Grundy Center, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Peggy Price; and two brothers, Donnie and Darrell Cole.
