Jolene M. Hoffman, 64, of Cedar Rapids, peacefully passed away on February 23, 2024.
Jolene was born on January 3rd, 1960, in Cedar Rapids. She graduated from Jefferson High School. She then attended University of Iowa earning her BA, and then completed her Master’s Degree in Audiology at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley.
Jolene was passionate about working in the Health Care field and her patients meant everything to her. She was also an avid animal lover with her most recent fur friend Dixie, being the light of her life.
Jolene is survived by her mother and step-father, Judith and Hamode Hasson of Cedar Rapids; her father, Carl Slocum of Piney Flats, Tennessee; her daughter Elaine T Hoffman and grandson Mason J Kaplan of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Sandra Jordan and her husband Steve of Fairfax; a brother Robert Slocum of Charleston, South Carolina; her brother Michael Hasson and his family, wife Kris and daughters Ava and Jenna of Maple Grove, Minnesota; and brother, Keith Slocum of Nashville, Tennessee.
As per Jolene’s request, there will be no services held. A Celebration of Life will be held with family and friends at a later date.
In lieu of flowers or memorials, please make donations to the Cedar Valley Humane Society in Jolene’s name.
