James (JT) Richard Tanner

James (JT) Richard Tanner, 56, of Iowa City, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics. Services will be held at a later date.
Survivors include his siblings, Lynette Gregory (Chris) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Steven Tanner of Elkhart, Iowa, Eric (Cristal) Tanner of Marion, Iowa, and Jonathan Tanner, New York City. Also surviving are nieces Crystal, Kendra, Joy, Amy, a nephew Jeff, great-nieces Abby and Evalee, and several cousins.
JT was born August 22, 1967, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Richard and Jean (Good) Tanner. He graduated from Marion High School and Iowa Wesleyan College. He enjoyed getting together with others, eating out with others, fishing, and an occasional cheeseburger. A special thank-you to Rose at Successful Living.
