Linda Rae Magnuson-Gaddie, 77, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018. A celebration of life will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, July 15, at Cedar Memorial Family Center.
Linda lived in Cedar Rapids her whole life. She was born April 21, 1941. Linda was married to Don Reed and had two sons, Michael W. Reed and Rick A. Reed. They later divorced. Sometime later she married Tom Gaddie, but later divorced. Linda had two dogs, Sophie and Hobbie, who gave her joy every day. She worked at Rockwell for 37 years and later worked for Weland Labs as a driver for many years before retiring. Linda loved to travel. She visited Mexico, Australia, Germany, Alaska, Hawaii and Las Vegas. She enjoyed music, nature, coloring and being with friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Velma Magnuson; her son, Rick A. Reed; and her oldest grandson, Michael W. Reed.
Linda is survived by her son, Michael (Carmen) Reed; her brother, Don (Linda) Magnuson; her nieces, Lori and Jim Ballentine and Paula and Mike McCullough; her grandkids, John W. Reed, Amber A. Carter, Kenneth A. Reed and Colton L. Reed, of Cedar Rapids; and all her five great-grandchildren.
She will always be missed by her friends and family.
A special thank-you to the Northbrook Manor and Mercy Hospice for the wonderful care they provided.
