Brad “Manny” James Peterson, 59, of Mount Vernon, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Celebration of Life at a later date. Burial at a later date. Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Mount Vernon, Iowa, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Brad was born on July 11, 1964, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Jerry and Jean (Doubek) Peterson.
Brad enjoyed listening to all kinds of music, watching M.A.S.H, the Walking Dead, Hawkeye Basketball, and Football. He worked most of his life as a custodian for Kirkwood, Cornell, and Cargill. Brad loved to make people laugh. He loved his dogs more than anything and they loved him equally.
Brad is survived by his siblings, Coreen (Denny) Clark, Jayson (Krista) Swyers, Brett (Carol) Peterson, and Robbie Peterson; significant other, Teresa Mcelree; and stepfather, Dusty Swyers.
Brad was preceded in death by his parents, and paternal and maternal grandparents.
