Ella M. Sperry, 87, of
Cedar Rapids, died Friday, June 8, 2018, at Northbrook Manor.
Services at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Inurnment in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald; a daughter, Mary Kay (Duane) Bolger of Williamsburg; a son, Robert (Lisa) of Kansas City, Mo.; four grandchildren, Matthew (Holly), Michael, Darren (Megan) and Trey; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and two sisters
Ella was born on July 26, 1930, in Marengo, the daughter of Claude and Loreen Blair Fuller. She married Gerald E. Sperry on Dec. 19, 1952, in Marengo. Ella worked in food service for the Cedar Rapids Community Schools and retired from there after more than 25 years of service in 1993.
Ella was a member of Echo Hill Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her beloved family and many friends. Ella forever will be remembered as a loving and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
Memorial donations may be given to Echo Hill Presbyterian Church Building Fund.
